Ανάμεσα στις αλλαγές που φέρνει μια εγκυμοσύνη στη ζωή μας είναι και η ρουτίνα ομορφιάς μας. Ξαφνικά γινόμαστε πιο επιφυλακτικές απέναντι στα προϊόντα που χρησιμοποιούμε, διαβάζοντας με προσοχή τη λίστα των συστατικών τους στο πίσω μέρος και βγάζοντας από την καθημερινότητά μας όλα όσα δεν θεωρούμε απόλυτα ασφαλή για το μωρό.

Πώς αλλάζουν όμως η επιδερμίδα και οι ανάγκες μας σε αυτή την καθοριστική περίοδο; Η αισθητικός των διασήμων Nichola Joss, στο πελατολόγιο της οποίας βρίσκουμε τις Μέγκαν Μαρκλ, Κέιτ Μος, Μάργκοτ Ρόμπι, Γκουίνεθ Πάλτροου, καταρρίπτει τους μύθους και εφιστά την προσοχή μας στους αληθινούς κινδύνους που πρέπει να αποφεύγουμε στη διάρκεια της εγκυμοσύνης. Τι συμβουλεύει;

Να είμαστε προετοιμασμένες για αλλαγές στην επιδερμίδα, η οποία «μπορεί να γίνει πολύ ξηρή και ιδιαίτερα ευαίσθητη. Οι συνέπειες μπορεί να είναι μαύρα στίγματα, ακμή, φλεγμονές και κοκκινίλες, ακόμα και σε γυναίκες που ανέκαθεν είχαν καθαρό δέρμα χωρίς προβλήματα». Οι αλλαγές στην επιδερμίδα ίσως συνεχιστούν ακόμα και για «δώδεκα μήνες μετά την εγκυμοσύνη» προειδοποιεί η ειδικός.

Να δώσουμε έμφαση στο στάδιο του καθαρισμού. «Η συγκεκριμένη ρουτίνα είναι απαραίτητη για όλους, αλλά ακόμα περισσότερο την περίοδο που αλλάζει το δέρμα. Αν παρουσιάζετε ερεθισμούς, είναι σημαντικό να δίνετε έμφαση στον καθαρισμό των πόρων και την απομάκρυνση των εγκλωβισμένων ρύπων. Χρησιμοποιήστε ένα ήπιο, βιολογικό προϊόν».

Να απολαμβάνουμε μασάζ προσώπου. «Είναι αληθινά σημαντικό την περίοδο της κύησης, καθώς ανακουφίζει τους μυϊκούς ιστούς από την ένταση και το στρες. Επίσης χαλαρώνει το πρόσωπο, μειώνει την κατακράτηση υγρών, βελτιώνει την υφή και τον τόνο της επιδερμίδας, ενισχύει την κυκλοφορία αίματος και λέμφου».

Να αποφεύγουμε κάποια συστατικά. «Στην εγκυμοσύνη υιοθετήστε μια πιο απλή προσέγγιση. Αποφύγετε επίσης συστατικά που μπορεί να ήταν μέρος της καθημερινής σας ρουτίνας στο παρελθόν, όπως ρετινόλη, σαλικυλικό οξύ και κάποια αιθέρια έλαια. Πάντα ελέγχετε ένα προϊόν προτού το χρησιμοποιήσετε στην εγκυμοσύνη». Τα ρετινοειδή και η ρετινόλη είναι παράγωγα βιταμίνης Α, που από κάποιες μελέτες έχουν συνδεθεί με βλάβες στο έμβρυο. Παρόλο που δεν πρέπει να πανικοβληθείτε αν τα έχετε χρησιμοποιήσει ήδη, καλό είναι να αποφεύγετε, όσο γίνεται, τη χρήση τους. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, προτού αγοράσετε ένα προϊόν, ακόμα και αν το θεωρείτε απόλυτα φυσικό, συμβουλευτείτε τον γυναικολόγο σας.
